Ukraine has developed a network of its own agents inside Russia who work on sabotage against enemy targets. The country began to provide them with drones to organize attacks.

 This is reported by CNN.

U.S. officials believe pro-Ukrainian agents inside Russia carried out the drone attack on the Kremlin in early May by launching the drones from Russian territory rather than delivering them from Ukraine to Moscow.

At the same time, it is unclear whether other drone attacks, including the one aimed at Moscow and the region, and another attack on oil refineries in the south of Russia, were also carried out from Russian territory or carried out by this network of pro-Ukrainian operatives.

However, US officials believe that Ukraine has developed subversive cells inside Russia, consisting of pro-Ukrainian sympathizers and operatives who are well trained in this type of warfare.

Ukraine is believed to have provided them with Ukrainian-made drones. Yes, two US officials told CNN that there is no evidence that any drone strikes were carried out using US-provided drones.

Officials could not say for certain how Ukraine was able to send the drones behind enemy lines, but two sources told CNN that it had established well-established smuggling routes that could be used to send the drones or components to Russia, where they could then be assembled.

Smuggling

An employee of European intelligence noted that the Russian-Ukrainian border is large and very difficult to control, which makes it suitable for smuggling.

"You also have to consider that this is a peripheral territory of Russia. Survival is everyone's problem, so cash works wonders," he said.

It is not known who exactly controls these assets, although US officials believe that Ukrainian intelligence agents are involved. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set the general parameters of what his security and intelligence services are allowed to do, two sources said, but not every operation needs his signature.

Drone attack on Moscow and the region

On the morning of May 30, drones crashed into houses in Moscow and Moscow suburbs. RosZMI wrote that 32 drones took part in the attack, three of which hit residential buildings. At the same time, only eight drones were reported to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

 Drone attack on the Kremlin

On the night of May 3, explosions rang out in the center of Moscow - the Russian authorities announced a drone attack on the Kremlin and traditionally blamed Ukraine. The Russians claimed that the anti-aircraft missile allegedly shot down the drones, but footage posted online showed one of the drones bursting into flames over the Kremlin tower.

Ukraine has officially declared that it is not behind the attack, as the primary task is to liberate its own territory. However, US intelligence believes that Ukrainian special operations forces may be behind the incident.
