The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi met with the President of Estonia Alar Karis. The meeting took place in Kyiv.
Zelenskyi reported this on Facebook.
The head of state thanked Estonia, which was one of the first to help Ukraine at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia.
"Estonia is among those whose aid to our defense is the fastest and largest, if you look at the ratio of the amount of aid to the country's GDP. Thank you for all your support," the president said.
Estonia supports Ukraine
From the first days of the full-scale war, Estonia condemned Russia, provided military and financial aid to Ukraine, and took in thousands of refugees.
In April last year, the President of Estonia visited Ukraine together with other leaders of the Baltic countries. In addition, Estonian Prime Minister Kaia Kalas visited Ukraine several times. The last time the politician was in Kyiv was on April 24, 2023.
In addition, the Estonian government recently approved a new military aid package for Ukraine, which includes 155 mm ammunition.
