The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced that he held another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the participants discussed four issues.
"Stavka. Violent reaction of meeting participants to the death of people near a closed bomb shelter. I instructed a member of the Stavka, Minister Kamyshin, to conduct a full audit of all protective structures in Kyiv. The report will be issued in ten days. Another member of the Stavka, Minister Klymenko - the same for Ukraine," he wrote Zelensky in social networks.
"The second question. A comprehensive review of the state of our air defense. Its needs to reflect threats from the ground, from the sea, from the air," the President noted. According to him, ways of improvement were considered taking into account available resources, income from partners and own production.
"Question three. Front. No details. Question four. A comprehensive intelligence report on countries that help Russia not just to circumvent sanctions, but also to increase the production of missiles and drones in conditions of war. We are preparing appropriate solutions," Zelenskyi said.
During the rocket attack on Kyiv on the night of June 1, people in the Desnyan district could not get to the shelter in the medical facility. As a result of falling rocket debris, three people (including one child) who were on the street were killed. The mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko stated that the investigation is establishing whether the shelter was opened.
Under the procedural guidance of the Desnyan District Prosecutor's Office of the city of Kyiv, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the fact of official negligence on the part of the officials of the medical institution, which caused serious consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The mayor of the city, Vitaliy Klitschko, has already stated that the responsibility for the operation of the shelter lies with the head of the medical facility and the head of the district, who must monitor the operation of the shelters that are on the city map and must work. He also added that all decisions regarding the actions of the responsible persons will be made immediately.
At the same time, the prosecutor's office insists on the need to conduct an objective investigation to identify guilty officials.
As UNN learned, two departments of the Kyiv City State Administration conducted investigative actions.
Four people were detained as part of the investigation of the tragedy, when people who could not get to shelter died due to the falling fragments of an enemy rocket.
