On Tuesday, May 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi had a conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
This was announced by the head of Ukraine on Twitter.
"I had a substantive telephone conversation with Chancellor Scholz. I thanked him for the implementation of a powerful defense package worth 3 billion euros," the message reads.
The leaders of the countries discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during Zelenskyi's recent visit to Germany and the further strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities, in particular air defense.
"We agreed on our positions on the eve of future international events," Zelenskyy added.
Help from Germany
Recently, the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius, confirmed the allocation of the largest package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of more than 2.7 billion euros.
