Childhood was torn apart: the Russians killed 483 children in Ukraine

As of May 29, juvenile prosecutors have registered at least 1,469 children who suffered during the war unleashed by the Russian aggressor. 483 young Ukrainians died at the hands of the invaders.

 

 This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

 

 "As of the morning of May 29, 2023, more than 1,469 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to the official information of the juvenile prosecutors, 483 children died and more than 986 were injured of various degrees of severity," the message reads.

 

 Children were the most affected in Donetsk region - 462.

 

 In other areas, the picture is as follows:

 

 Kharkivska – 278 children,

 

 Kyivska – 128 and Khersonska – 102,

 

 Zaporizhzhia - 91,

 

 Mykolaivska - 89,

 

 Dnipropetrovsk – 72 and Chernihiv – 70,

 

 Luhansk - 67.

 

 The Prosecutor General's Office emphasized that work is ongoing to establish data on children in places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

 It will be recalled that Fleet 2017 previously reported that as of May 25, at least 1,466 children were recorded as victims of Russia's full-scale invasion.

 

 It was also reported that, according to the OSCE, the Russian Federation violated the rights of illegally transported Ukrainian children to the territory of Russia. Cases of purposeful re-education, obstruction of return to the family, and forced adoption have been recorded.
