A bomb exploded in Zagreb, probably left over from the Serbian bombings

In Zagreb, a bomb exploded on the roof of a building during repair work, one worker was injured.

 The incident took place on May 25 at around 9 am on the roof of a building on Strossmayer Square. Workers were removing the roof from the building to install a new one, and came across a dangerous object.

 

 The explosive device is believed to have been part of the banned cluster bombs used by the Serbs to attack Zagreb on May 2 and 3, 1995.

 

 A worker from India was injured as a result of the explosion. He has serious injuries to his hand and fingers.

 

 An intensive police investigation continues at the scene on Strossmeier Square. In parallel with the investigation, the police are interviewing colleagues of the injured worker to recreate the entire course of the morning work they performed before the detonation.
