In the 15th month of the war, the Russians invented the real purpose of the so-called "special military operation". It consists in preventing the fall of the Belgorod region and other regions of the Russian Federation.
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, wrote about this on Twitter.
"On the 15th month of the full-scale war, the official Kremlin (by the mouth of Peskov) finally formulated the goal of the "SVO": to prevent the fall of the Belgorod region. Very reflective and short-sighted. I suggest thinking one step ahead and starting a new information campaign of "Russian Victory": "Achieved . Together and forever. Kaluga, Tula, Ryazan are Russia," wrote Podolyak.
According to him, now is the time for the Russian regime to think about objective things: the sooner it withdraws its troops from the territory of Ukraine, the less grandiose the disaster will be for Russia in the end.

For the second day in a row, the press secretary of the President of Russia, Dmytro Peskov, has been commenting on the operation of the "Russian Volunteer Corps" and the Legion of "Freedom of Russia" in the Belgorod region.
"Of course, what happened yesterday causes deep concern. This once again confirms that Ukrainian militants continue their activities against our country. This requires great efforts from us. These efforts are ongoing, and a special military operation is also ongoing to prevent similar incidents in the future penetrations," he said.
We will remind, yesterday, May 22, fighters of "RDK" and "Freedom of Russia" legion announced the beginning of the operation in the border areas of Belgorod region. On the second day, it covered an area of more than 30 square kilometers.
