The Russian military can stop participating in the war of aggression against Ukraine and safely surrender to our Armed Forces.
This was stated by the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov.
"For more than a year, the Kremlin regime has not been able to achieve any of the goals set at the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. I appeal to the Russian military - to those who were lucky enough to survive the "meat assaults" and broken trenches. It will be even worse. You have a choice - die or save your life," he said.
For example, the state project "I want to live" operates in Ukraine, which helps Russian soldiers to surrender safely to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, Ukrainian units have already led hundreds of Russian soldiers across the front line. They live in normal conditions under the supervision of the International Committee of the Red Cross with three meals a day, the ability to call home and receive parcels.
Budanov noted that the occupiers are considered to have been captured in battle, so Russia continues to charge them combat wages and salaries. They also have a choice - to wait out the war and return home, or not to return to the Russian Federation. They have the right to request asylum in Ukraine or a number of EU countries.
The resistance of the Ukrainians gradually reduced the fervor of the Russians, so there are more frequent cases when the occupiers surrender and refuse to continue the offensive, and in whole groups.
We should add that more than 1.2 million people have already used the "I want to live" project.
