Ukroboronprom and the German company Rheinmetall concluded a strategic partnership agreement. As noted in the Ukrainian company, first it will be about maintenance and repair of armored vehicles, and then the partners are going to jointly produce Rheinmetall products in Ukraine. The start of operation of the joint venture is planned for mid-July 2023, Ukroboronprom reported.
"Ukroboronprom state concern and one of the world's leaders in the defense industry - the German company Rheinmetall - concluded a strategic partnership agreement," the message reads.
The goal is called "strengthening the defense industry of Ukraine and its national security through the creation of a joint enterprise."
According to the contract, "the basis and first step for cooperation is maintenance and repair of armored vehicles transferred to Ukraine." "In the future, the partners intend to jointly produce Rheinmetall products in Ukraine, as well as to jointly develop promising samples of weapons and military equipment on the basis of a newly created joint venture with the participation of Ukrainian and German specialists," the message states.

"The start of operation of the joint venture is planned for mid-July 2023," Ukroboronprom said.
It was reported that the Rheinmetall company created a joint venture with the Ukrainian state concern "Ukroboronprom" for the production and repair of tanks in Ukraine.
