The US House of Representatives supported a resolution on a special tribunal for Russia

The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives of the US Congress voted for a resolution to officially support the creation of a special tribunal to punish the crime of aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the author of the document, Congressman Bill Keating.

"Today we are one step closer to justice for Ukraine. My bill on official support for the creation of a special tribunal for crimes of aggression in Ukraine was supported in the Foreign Affairs Committee," Keating wrote on Twitter.

He noted that this special tribunal is an insufficient link in the investigation of Russia's war crimes and a necessary step to hold Russia accountable for its actions.

The coalition (Core Group) of states to create a special tribunal for the crime of aggression was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. Currently, it includes 37 states, including the G7 countries and the EU.

All 37 participants of the summit confirmed their determination to bring Russia's top leadership to justice for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

The European Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe also voted for the creation of a special international tribunal.

37 member countries of the coalition of the special Russian tribunal recently held a meeting in Tallinn.
