NABU spoke about a large-scale corruption scheme in the Supreme Court

On Tuesday, May 16, NABU gave a briefing on the events in the Supreme Court, where a large-scale corruption scheme was revealed. In particular, she was exposed by an undercover detective.

As the NABU said, the investigation recorded the contacts of representatives of the "Finance and Credit" group with the lawyer of one of the legal associations.

"They agreed on the transfer of an illegal benefit to one of the highest officials of the court in order to make a decision beneficial to one of the entrepreneurs," they said at the briefing, confirming the information of "Kraina" that it is about the structures of the oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevago.

The first court session in the case was supposed to take place on March 15, but it was postponed by agreement "to accumulate funds", which were transferred to the lawyer. And already on April 19, a court decision was passed, and at the beginning of May, the leadership of the Supreme Court gave an instruction on the distribution of bribes among other judges.

On May 3, the first part of the bribe was handed over, on May 15 - the second part, on which the head of the Supreme Court was "fixed".

Currently, in the case of bribery in the Supreme Court, its head, Knyazev, and another person involved, whose name has not been disclosed, have been arrested. This information was confirmed by SAP.

But the suspects have not yet been handed over to the detainees.

There are no other judges detained in this case. Persons who may be involved in the case are being checked, the NABU added at a briefing.

It is also reported that large sums of money were seized from Supreme Court judges during the searches, but the investigation into their origin is still ongoing.

At the NABU briefing, audio recordings were presented in which the participants in the bribery case in the Supreme Court discuss "large sums" before some "event".

"One... you received 350. There are 450 left. When will it be delivered?" - such a question sounds in the conversation.

At the NABU briefing, it was not explained to whom the voices heard on the tapes belong and what exactly they are discussing. They said only that the people involved in the case spoke fluent language and tried to conspire their intentions.
