Ukraine lost less than 15,000 dead in the war against the Russian Federation - EU data

Intelligence data distributed among the member states of the European Union estimate the losses of the Ukrainian military during the full-scale war with Russia at 13,000 dead.

This is stated in the publication of the Euractiv publication, which received the relevant document at its disposal.

According to the estimates of the European Union, which are given in the document and are based on Ukraine's reports to EU member states, media reports and intelligence sources, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are estimated at 13,000 killed during hostilities and another 35,000 wounded.

US estimates, which are indicated in the same document, indicate that Kyiv lost 17,500 servicemen killed in battle, as well as a total of 124,000 to 131,000 casualties - wounded, dead, missing and others.

At the same time, the EU tends to believe that the American data are overstated, notes Euractiv.

As for Russian losses, the document cites Ukrainian estimates, according to which the Russian Federation lost 185,000 dead and 555,000 wounded. US data are also mentioned, according to which Russian losses range from 189,500 to 223,000, of which 43,000 were killed.

Western diplomats and the military warned in a conversation with Euractiv that it is almost impossible to get official confirmation of the number of victims from both sides.

Note that the publication does not indicate the date on which the estimates of the losses of Ukraine and Russia in a full-scale war were given.
