The Belgian government on Friday approved a new package of aid to Ukraine in the form of revenues from the use of frozen Russian assets.
The total amount of financial assistance is 92 million euros, and the source of these funds is tax revenue collected from Russian financial assets frozen in Belgium.
"Half of this amount, 46 million euros, is intended for new military aid. This includes the supply of armored vehicles, weapons and ammunition," the Belgian government said in a statement, indicating that these funds are intended to be transferred "very quickly."
The other half of the sum allocated by Brussels to Kyiv will be aimed at supporting the Ukrainian population and strengthening Belgium's diplomatic presence.
