The defense forces will create new mobile air defense groups. They will protect the sky over Kyiv and the north of Ukraine.

This was reported by the commander of the United Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Naev, on Facebook.

He showed enemy drones shot down by Ukrainian defenders. Among them were Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones and Russian-made drones.

"The world has never faced such a huge number of air and missile strikes. But we are trying to find the most effective methods of countering air threats," Nayev noted.

The commander handed over a new batch of vehicles to the defenders to create mobile anti-aircraft fire groups.

"These groups will protect the skies on the approaches to Kyiv, as well as the airspace over other populated areas in the north and northwest of Ukraine," he added.

It will be recalled that during the Russian attack on the night of May 9, a National Guardsman shot down an Kh-55 missile from the Golka portable anti-aircraft missile complex that was flying towards Kyiv.

Later, the Ministry of Internal Affairs showed a video of the downing of a Russian cruise missile. It turned out that she was shot down by a 20-year-old soldier of the National Guard.
