Private and high-rise buildings, administrative buildings, and an industrial enterprise were affected by the shelling
As a result of Russian shelling during the day on May 8, a resident of Bakhmut was wounded in Donetsk region. This was announced on May 9 by Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the OVU.
He noted that two explosions rang out in Kramatorsk late at night - Russian rockets fell on the territory of an industrial enterprise. There were no casualties.
The Kurakhiv community came under fire five times: 14 private houses, seven high-rise buildings, two administrative buildings and an industrial enterprise were damaged in Kurakhiv. At night, shelling of Avdiivka, Maryinka and Maksimilianivka was recorded.
Two houses were damaged in Toretsk, four in Nikiforivka and three in Vasyukivka. Chasiv Yar was shelled: houses and non-residential premises were damaged there.
A house in Zarichnoy was also destroyed.
It will be recalled that the Russian Federation launched a war against Ukraine in 2014, when it occupied Crimea and part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine from the northern, eastern and southern directions. In April, the Defense Forces of Ukraine expelled the occupiers from the northern regions of Ukraine, and in the fall they de-occupied part of the Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions. The most intense battles are currently taking place in Donbas.
