The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that the European Union is ready to provide Ukraine with one million shells for artillery. He said this during a joint press conference with the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, noting that the parties discussed the speed of procurement and delivery of these ammunitions.
"Today I thanked Ursula for the readiness of the European Union to provide Ukraine with ammunition - 1 million shells for artillery. The key issue we discussed is the speed of procurement and delivery of these munitions. There is a need for them on the battlefield already," Zelenskyі said.
The Council of the EU has finally approved the second tranche of 1 billion euros within the framework of the European Peace Fund for the purchase of ammunition and missiles for Ukraine.
