The military repelled more than 40 Russian attacks in the Donetsk region and shot down an Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the day, the enemy launched 1 missile strike, 29 air strikes and fired about 12 rocket salvo fire strikes at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
There are dead and wounded among the civilian population, destroyed and damaged private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure. The probability of further missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains quite high.
The main efforts of the enemy are focused on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiiv and Marin directions - more than 40 enemy attacks were repulsed. The fiercest battles continue for Bakhmut and Maryinka, our soldiers courageously hold the defense.
On the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not undergone significant changes. No signs of formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
On the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy during the day:
carried out airstrikes on the settlements of Galaganivka and Leonivka;
carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Khrinivka, Zareche, Chernihiv region; Ukrainian, Seredyna-Buda of the Sumy region, as well as Chervona Zorya, Hoptivka, Krasne, Ternova, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Nesterne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not carry out offensive actions, actively using unmanned aerial vehicles to adjust artillery fire.
Stroivka, Kamianka, Topoli, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Liman Pershiy, Kislivka, Berestov in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.
In the Lymansky direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of Bilogorivka.
Nevske in the Luhansk region and Novosadove, Torske, Bilogorivka, Verkhnokamianske and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive actions. Heavy fighting continues for the city of Bakhmut. In addition, during the day, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of the settlement of Predtechyne.
Vasyukivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Kostyantynivka, Bila Gora, Oleksandro-Shultine, Diliivka, Severnye, Toretsk, Shumy, Pivdenne and New York of the Donetsk region were affected by enemy shelling.
In the Avdiyiv direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Pervomaisky. He shelled the settlements of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Vodyane and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Marinka direction, during the day, our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of the settlements of Marinka and Novomykhailivka.
Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobyeda, Paraskoviivka and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
During the current day, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Shakhtarsky direction. He shelled the settlements of Bogoyavlenka, Vugledar, Novoukrainka, Prechistivka, Shakhtarske, and Velika Novosilka of the Donetsk region.
The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations in the Zaporizhzhуа and Kherson directions. At the same time, during the day, he shelled more than 20 settlements, which are close to the battle line.
Among them - Vremivka, Novosilka, Novopil, Zelene Pole of the Donetsk region; Olhivske, Gulyaipole, Biloghirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhуa region; Havrylivka, Zmiivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.
In the Maryinka area, in the units of the Russian occupation forces, cases of collective refusal to participate in hostilities have become more frequent.
It has been established that the main factors affecting this are large losses in manpower, untimely supply of ammunition to the occupiers, lack of a sufficient amount of personal protective equipment, and the forcing of Russian Armed Forces servicemen to conduct assault operations without the support of heavy equipment and artillery.
The Russian occupiers have strengthened the counter-intelligence and police regime in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kerch Peninsula of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Thus, since April 26, the occupiers have increased the number of patrols, on local roads they have reinforced police posts with officers of the FSB of the Russian Federation, who carry out random checks of the civilian population, in particular, checking mobile phones and the presence of a Russian passport.
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces made 3 strikes on the areas where the personnel of the occupiers were concentrated. Also, our defenders shot down two enemy UAVs of the "Shahed-136/131" type, one reconnaissance UAV of the "Orlan-10" type and another UAV of an unknown type.
During the day, units of rocket troops and artillery struck the area of concentration of enemy manpower, two depots of fuel and lubricants, two means of anti-aircraft defense, one artillery unit and another important target of the enemy.
