The number of victims of the night attack of Russian troops on Uman in Cherkasy region has increased to 17, three days of mourning are announced in the region, the head of Cherkasy OV Ihor Taburets reported in Telegram.
"04/28/14:47. Uman. Rescuers retrieved two more dead from under the rubble: currently we have 17 civilians killed by the Russians," Taburets reported.
The rescue operation continues.
"A terrible tragedy for the entire Cherkasy region. We announce a three-day mourning period in the region," the message reads.
Due to the enemy's night attack on peaceful sleeping people in Dnipropetrovsk region, Cherkasy region and Kyiv region, there are dead and wounded.
Today, at 4:30 a.m., the enemy launched a rocket attack, in particular, on Uman. One of the rockets hit a nine-story residential building. In this house, the first entrance was practically destroyed. According to preliminary data, 109 people lived in this entrance, 46 apartments, of which 27 were completely destroyed.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the approximate time for the analysis of all debris is one day.
