The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, announced during the press conference that preparations for the counteroffensive are being completed.
He emphasized that he cannot disclose most of the details.
"Preparation is being completed. Because, in addition to weapons and military equipment, there is also its development by our military. And we received very modern systems, especially in the part of the "armored fist". (…) The equipment itself has been announced, prepared and partially delivered. And there is equipment on which the training programs are completed, and the crews will arrive with them when the place is determined by the Central Committee. But if we speak in a global sense, then in a high interest regime we are ready - further questions are for the General Staff, for the command. (…) As soon as there is God's will, the weather and the decision of the commanders, we will do it," the minister said.
He added that the partners have transferred and are transferring to Ukraine a large number of tanks, in particular Leopards, armored vehicles. Also, according to him, the transfer of Abrams tanks is expected, and the Ukrainian crews have already left for training, but they probably won't have time to take part in this counteroffensive.
Previously, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar noted that it is not necessary to reduce the Ukrainian counteroffensive publicly to only some active offensive actions, because it is about the strategic goal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - to liberate all occupied territories.
