Soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine held vital logistics routes in the west of Bakhmut.
Colonel Mykola Urshalovych said this at a briefing in the Military Media Center.
According to him, in the Bakhmut direction, the forces of the 4th brigade of the operational assignment named after the Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Mikhalchuk ensured the maintenance of vital logistical routes on the western outskirts of the city and inflicted devastating losses on enemy assault units.
At the same time, as Colonel Urshalovych noted, having a numerical advantage and not counting losses, "the enemy is trying to advance over the bodies of their dead, and if it succeeds somewhere, then according to the Kremlin's logic, it is assessed as a "significant success".
As reported, competition between Russian private military companies is likely to intensify during the fighting for Bakhmut.
