German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the territory of Russia are completely permissible.

He said this on German television, DW reports.

According to him, the situation when the military of the attacked country penetrates the territory of the enemy during hostilities, for example, to cut off his supply routes, is absolutely normal.

"As long as cities, civilians, civilian objects are not attacked, we will have to come to terms with this. Reluctantly, but it has to happen, for example, to cut off supply routes," the German minister said.

Previously, Pistorius stated that the war unleashed by Russia is an obstacle to discussing Ukraine's accession to NATO. The minister noted that NATO should "carefully" consider any step to include Ukraine in the Alliance.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, calling on the allies to provide Western fighter jets to Ukraine, assured that they will not be used to strike targets on the territory of Russia.

As is known, the possible use of certain types of weapons, in particular aircraft and long-range missiles, for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation is a deterrent factor for the allies in the process of making decisions about their possible provision to Ukraine.
