Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov met with his American counterpart Lloyd Austin before the meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as reported by the head of the Pentagon on Twitter.
"It is always a pleasure to communicate with my good friend and Ukrainian colleague Oleksiy Reznikov," Austin said.
"During the past year, the members of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine provided enormous opportunities to Ukraine. We will support them as long as necessary," the head of the Pentagon sent a message.
The meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine known as "Ramstein" will take place at the air base of the same name in Germany on April 21.
Before the meeting, President Volodymyr Zelenskyі noted that some decisions at the Ramstein-style meeting should be accelerated so that the appropriate weapons that will strengthen the Ukrainian army on the battlefield arrive sooner.
