NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that at the July summit in Vilnius, the member countries of the Alliance are preparing to discuss the issue of Ukraine's membership and security guarantees for it.
He stated this during a press conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv.
"President Zelenskyyі raised the issue of membership and security guarantees (for Ukraine. - Ed.). And this will be an important element of the agenda at this meeting and NATO is preparing for it. Ukraine chooses its future in the Euro-Atlantic family, Ukraine's future in NATO and members The Alliance agrees with this," said the NATO Secretary General.
He also noted that NATO countries are focused on providing support to Ukraine, particularly in the military field. These issues will be discussed at tomorrow's Rammstein-style meeting and at the NATO summit in Vilnius.
"Ukraine's rightful place is in NATO. And later, our support will help you make it possible," Stoltenberg stressed.
