There will be no "Immortal Regiment" marches throughout Russia this year. This decision was announced by the co-chair of the central headquarters of the movement, a member of the Russian State Duma, Olena Tsunayeva, who was quoted by the Russian state media.
According to Tsunaeva, the traditional "Immortal Regiment" march will not take place in Russia in 2023.
"Clarification" regarding the holding of the "Immortal Regiment" march abroad will appear closer to May 9, now the organizers are submitting applications for the action, Tsunaeva added.
It became known that in occupied Crimea, festive demonstrations on May 1, "Immortal Regiment" and a parade on May 9 will not be held due to "security considerations".
The authorities of the Kursk and Belgorod regions of Russia bordering Ukraine have already given up on the parades.
