The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in response to the statements of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva about the war, invited him to Ukraine in order to understand the true essence of Russian aggression, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Nikolenko.
"Ukraine is watching with interest the efforts of the president of Brazil to find a solution to end the war. At the same time, the approach that puts the victim and the aggressor on the same scale, and the countries that help Ukraine defend against deadly aggression, are accused of encouraging the war, does not correspond to the real state of affairs. Nikolenko noted on Facebook.
The speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that "Ukraine does not need to be convinced of anything." "A war of aggression is being waged on Ukrainian soil and is causing untold suffering and destruction. More than anyone in the world, we strive for the end of Russian aggression based on the Peace Formula proposed by President Zelenskyi", he said.
"We confirm the invitation to Luis Inacio Lula da Silva to visit Ukraine in order to understand the real reasons and essence of Russian aggression and its consequences for global security," concluded the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, wrapping up a state visit to China, said the United States must stop what he called "encouraging war."
