Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine Giorgii Zakarashvili, as part of a working visit to Kharkiv, held a meeting with the head of the Kharkiv Regional Council Tetyana Yehorova-Lutsenko. This is reported by the Facebook of the Embassy of Georgia in Ukraine

Tatiana Yehorova-Lutsenko, addressing Giorhiy Zakarashvili, expressed gratitude to Georgia for supporting Ukraine.

As noted, the Georgian side once again emphasized support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the framework of internationally recognized borders. Also, the Government of Georgia will continue maximum political and humanitarian support to Ukraine.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed directions of further cooperation between the regions of Georgia and Kharkiv region.

Also, the day before, Georgy Zakarashvili had a meeting with Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov.

The parties discussed the security situation in the city and agreed to continue cooperation in humanitarian issues. The head of the city thanked the people of Georgia for their comprehensive support of Ukraine and emphasized that both countries are victims of Russian aggression.

"Now we are working on a plan for the post-war reconstruction of the city, preparing for the next winter, and at the same time rebuilding housing with our own efforts. Of course, we also need the support of the world community, in particular, Georgia. Your country, like ours, has experienced firsthand what Russian aggression is like ", Ihor Terekhov noted.

The Georgian ambassador agreed with the mayor and noted that only bringing the aggressor country to justice can prevent any attempts to encroach on foreign territories in the future. "The example of Kharkiv and other cities clearly demonstrates to us what Russia is doing to Ukraine. Therefore, know that you can confidently count on our help," said Georgy Zakarashvili.
