The number of victims of the rocket attack by the Russian invaders on Sloviansk, Donetsk region, has increased to nine. This was reported on April 15 on Facebook by the head of the city military administration, Vadym Lyakh.
According to him, rescuers retrieved the body of a dead woman from under the rubble at night.
Another 21 people were injured.
Rescue operations are ongoing. A special detachment of climbers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine was involved in them. Five more people remain under the rubble of the building, their identities have been established.
Lyakh noted that the local authorities have no information about the residents of the three apartments of the damaged building.
On April 14, Russian occupying forces shelled Slovyansk, at least seven explosions were heard in the city near school No. 8. As a result of the attack, 34 high-rise buildings and 20 private buildings were damaged.
The previous evening, it was known about eight dead people, among them a child born in 2020.
