Switzerland will allocate $1.7 billion in financial aid to Ukraine

The Swiss government intends to allocate at least another 1.5 billion Swiss francs ($1.7 billion) to Ukraine by 2028.

This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis, reports Swiss Info.

Financial support to Ukraine will be provided within the framework of the international cooperation strategy for 2025-2028.

Earlier, Switzerland agreed to provide 300 million francs to support Ukraine for 2023-2024.

In total, Switzerland will provide Ukraine with at least 1.8 billion Swiss francs (over $2 billion) over the next six years.

Earlier in Switzerland, they did not agree with the criticism of European countries regarding the fact that Bern is not active enough in freezing Russian assets.
