The Abkhaz authorities lifted the restrictions imposed on the Ingur bridge

The authorities of the self-proclaimed republic of Abkhazia lifted the restrictions imposed on the Ingur Bridge due to the action of the Georgian opposition in Tbilisi.

The Saberio-Pakhulani checkpoint has also resumed work, writes the Georgian service of Radio Liberty.

The introduced restrictions became known on April 7. On April 8, the Abkhaz Security Service confirmed that the introduced measures are related to the rally in Tbilisi. The department announced operational information, according to which refugees from Abkhazia and residents of the Gal district are actively involved in mass protests.

"In particular, we are talking about students of Georgian higher education institutions in Georgia, whose families and relatives live in the territory of Galsky District," the message read.
