Finland has completed the process of joining NATO. The country's government has implemented an agreement with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
This is reported by the Finnish government.
By the adopted resolution, the Finnish government put into effect the North Atlantic Treaty with amendments, accession protocols and the act of entry into force of the legislative character of NATO.
This document completes Finland's accession to NATO at the national level. The North Atlantic Treaty is now being integrated into Finnish law.
We will remind, today Finland officially became the 31st member of the North Atlantic Alliance. The country's flag was raised near the NATO headquarters.
It should be noted that after Finland joined NATO, Russia's border with the alliance increased.
