Denmark and Norway will transfer eight thousand artillery shells to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Denmark concluded an agreement with Norway on the joint transfer of eight thousand artillery shells to Ukraine. They can be delivered together with CAESAR installations.

This was announced on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Denmark.

As part of the cooperation, Ukraine will receive 155-mm artillery shells with compatible Danish metal charges, detonators and firing tubes for full artillery fire.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the ammunition will be able to use the Danish CAESAR artillery installations, which the Danish Parliament decided to transfer to Ukraine at the beginning of the year. Therefore, it is expected that the projectiles will be transferred together with the systems.

"Ukraine is in great need of artillery ammunition, and we are contributing as much as we can. For the security of Europe and Norway, it is important that Ukraine succeed in resisting Russia's attack. Norway has made a significant contribution to Ukraine until 2022 and will continue to provide support in the years to come," he said Minister of Defense of Norway Bjorn Arild Gram.

As a reminder, Ukraine has already received the first batch of MiG-29 fighters from Poland. Most likely, four units of military equipment were transferred to our state.
