"Servant of the People" proposes to introduce new holidays in Ukraine: "Cherry Day" and "Peace Day". People's deputies want to make them a weekend. It is also proposed to rename March 8, cancel the Victory Day weekend on May 9, leave Christmas Day on December 25 as a day off, and make January 7 a working day.

 This is stated in the draft law on amendments to the Labor Code (No. 9009-3) initiated by People's Deputy Halyna Tretyakov.

 In particular, it is proposed to rename May 1 to "Labor Thanksgiving Day" and March 8 to "Spring Day". Moreover, the latter is motivated by the "goals of the world community regarding gender equality."

 On June 6, it is proposed to celebrate "Ukrainian Cherry Blossom Day", and on September 21, "Peace Day". The author of the initiative wants to designate this autumn day as a holiday after Ukraine's victory over Russia.

 And on November 10, it is proposed to celebrate the "Day of Respect for Age" and also make it a day off.

 For Christmas, it is suggested to rest not on January 7, but on December 25.
