On Thursday, March 16, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will gather oligarchs. This meeting will be the first since February 24, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine.

 This is reported by Bloomberg.

Putin plans to meet with top businessmen in the Kremlin this week for the first time since he launched his invasion of Ukraine, according to sources familiar with the preparations.

As the journalists note, the March 16 meeting with the participation of leading members of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) is taking place at a time when "the government, which is trying its best to cover the growing costs, since the war is already in its second year, is increasing the pressure on companies to pay more taxes".

"Last year's meeting with the tycoons was disrupted against the backdrop of hostilities," the article says.

As Bloomberg emphasizes, if last year many tycoons were worried that a public appearance with Putin could make them the objects of sanctions, now most of the main members of the RSPP board are subject to restrictions.

As reported, Russian companies that fail to fulfill the state order will have their managers changed. Dictator Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree.
