The dam of the Kakhovskaya HPP was damaged by the Russian occupiers. The reservoir is shallow. This was announced by the head of Dnipropetrovsk OVA Serhiy Lysak in Telegram.

Lysak said that today they gathered for a meeting with heads of communities, heads of RVA and representatives of water utilities of Kryvorizky and Nikopol districts.

"The first and most urgent issue is water supply. The Kakhovskaya HPP dam was damaged by the enemy. The reservoir is shallow. With titanic efforts, it was possible to raise and maintain the water level in the Kakhovsky Sea. After all, this is critically important for the residents of Kryvorizhzhia and Nikopol region," Lysak wrote.

He noted that the problem continues to be solved.

"We do today so that tomorrow we can be ready for any challenges. We found technical solutions together. Project and estimate documentation is currently being developed. There, in particular, they took into account the modernization of equipment. So that it works without interruptions in the conditions of martial law and consumes less electricity. And it could also be used in peacetime. After our victory," said Lysak.
