Moldova denied the preparation of a "special military operation" against Transnistria with Ukraine

Moldova's Vice-Prime Minister for Reintegration Oleg Serebryan denied the statements of Russian propaganda and representatives of the unrecognized Transnistria that Chisinau, together with Kyiv, is preparing a military invasion of the left bank of the Dniester.

Serebryan said this in an interview with Vocea Basarabiei TV channel.

"We understand very well that one of the biggest problems is - and we can see this very often from the statements made in Tiraspol - the fear that the Republic of Moldova, or the Republic of Moldova in coordination with Ukraine, or only Ukraine, will intend or certain plans to resolve this conflict by military means," said the Moldovan vice-prime minister.

Serebryan noted that Moldova is "somewhat tired" of repeating the position that the conflict in "Transnistria" can be resolved only through diplomatic means.

"Kyiv, for its part, has also always said that it respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and that without actual provocation or a request from Chisinau, it has no intentions regarding the Transnistrian region," he emphasized.
