Russian occupiers shelled Kherson in the afternoon of February 25. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, reported this on Telegram.

According to him, the Russian army used artillery to attack the city, several people were injured.

"Today, as a result of artillery fire in the city of Kherson, three local residents ended up in the hospital. Russian terrorists are fighting the civilian population," Yermak wrote.

Earlier, the Kherson regional military administration reported on Telegram that two employees of the Kherson regional emergency and rescue service were wounded as a result of the shelling. They were closing the damaged windows in one of the houses on Poltavska Street when a new attack from the enemy began. The men were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

We will remind that the occupiers captured Kherson and almost the entire Kherson region at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, in February - March 2022. In November, the defense forces of Ukraine liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, together with the regional center, from the Russian occupiers. After that, the Russians began systematically shelling Kherson and other liberated settlements in the region.

On February 23, as a result of another Russian attack in Kherson, a critical situation with heating developed, RMA reported. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, the main pipeline that provided heating for almost 600 houses (more than 40 thousand people) was damaged.
