The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is sure that the defenders will liberate Mariupol this year.
During an interview with journalist Dmytro Komarov for the film "The Year", he noted that the most memorable thing was when a four-year-old boy took him aside on the feast of St. Nicholas and asked if we could return the city, writes Economic News.
Zaluzhny also said that the cheapest material that the Russian army has is human life.
"Losses of 15,000 in Afghanistan actually brought the USSR to its knees. Now the number of losses of the Russian Federation is much higher. We have a different tactic and strategy. We do not have such capabilities, it makes no sense to spend a lot of ammunition to destroy our own infrastructure," the general said.
Meanwhile, in the Mariupol occupied by Russia, as a result of powerful explosions on February 25 in the BC and PSM warehouses of the Russian military, tanks, BMPs, self-propelled guns and dozens of the invaders themselves were eliminated.
This was announced by Petro Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, two infantry fighting vehicles, one tank and one self-propelled artillery were added to the previously neutralized warehouses of BC and PSM. There are also losses among the personnel of the enemy: 50 occupiers are in the "200" condition or seriously wounded.
"Due to the complexity and protection of the target area, we continue to collect data on the realities of cotton," Andryushchenko clarified.
