The first western ones from Germany will arrive in Ukraine already in March, and deliveries from Spain are also planned at this time. Therefore, it is possible that the Ukrainians will have such a serious number of tanks in April.
German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldgusen stated this in an interview with Radio Svoboda.
"We have already announced that our first tanks will be at the end of March. Your military is currently training on them. We see pictures from the training ground in Germany," she said.
The ambassador also drew attention to the fact that the Ukrainian side should also receive tanks from the Spaniards during this period of time.
"...Spain also agrees. They reported that their tanks will be there at the end of March. I think that in April there will already be such a serious number," she said.
We will remind, recently German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Berlin expects to deliver Leopard 2A6 tanks to Ukraine in the last week of March.
In addition, yesterday the head of the Ministry of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov announced that Ukraine expects the first tanks with trained crews from its partners in the near future.
