The Armed Forces say that the Kremlin's plans to seize Ukrainian territories have not changed.
from the beginning of the full-scale invasion, from February 24, 2022, Russia launched about 5 thousand missiles on the territory of Ukraine.
This was announced by the Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, at a briefing on February 23.
"In general, since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression by the Russian occupying forces, almost 5,000 missile and almost 3,500 air strikes have been carried out on objects on the territory of Ukraine," he said.
In addition, the occupiers inflicted almost 1,100 strikes using drones.
According to Gromov, due to the beginning of the "high-speed missile starvation", Russian troops are using Kh-22 air-based anti-ship cruise missiles, the so-called "carrier killers", to destroy the residential buildings of Ukrainians.
He also noted that the Kremlin's plans have not changed - Russia will continue to try to capture the key cities of the Donetsk region, and by the summer - to capture the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
We will remind, according to Ukrainian intelligence, Russia plans to launch a missile attack on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Enemy attacks are expected on February 23-24. They will be the same as before.
