EU ministers will not agree on a new package of sanctions on Monday - mass media

The ministers of foreign affairs of EU countries will not agree on a new package of sanctions against the Russian Federation at a meeting in Brussels on Monday.

Radio Svoboda correspondent Rikard Jozwiak wrote about this on Twitter.

"The new package of EU sanctions against Russia will not be agreed upon today during the meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, but EU ambassadors will meet on Tuesday and Wednesday to finalize the package," the message reads.

Earlier it became known that the European Commission abandoned plans to impose sanctions on the Russian nuclear sector or its representatives in the next package of sanctions.

On February 15, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, presented an official proposal for the tenth package of sanctions against Russia.

The proposal calls for further export bans worth more than €11 billion to deprive the Russian economy of critical technologies and manufactured goods
