Polish President Andrzej Duda plans to discuss the military presence of US troops in Poland during a meeting with American leader Joe Biden.

 This is reported by PAP.

Duda said that he would convince Biden to increase the number of American troops and equipment in Poland.

"We already have the bases today and we already have the equipment, but I think there needs to be more. I will also be persuading President Joe Biden to do that," the president said.

Duda also noted that he will discuss this issue with the leaders of France and Germany at the Munich Security Conference.

The Polish president hopes that Biden's visit to Poland will be full of specifics, as the planned trip has "powerful political significance."

"I don't want and can't talk about them too much, but I expect a lot of specifics. Maybe it will be specifics that we can't talk about publicly. Such a visit always turns into specifics," Duda explained.

At the same time, Duda said that the meeting between Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Poland has not been announced.

"These are issues related to the security of President Joe Biden, these are issues related to the security of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, these are issues related to our security as hosts of all meetings that will take place at this time and around this symbolic date - the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine," he said.

We will remind, according to Polish diplomats, US President Joe Biden will visit Poland on February 20-22, where he will hold a number of meetings and take part in events.

Earlier, the Polish media reported that Zelenskyi may visit Poland to meet with Biden.
