Lukashenko explained the conditions under which the Belarusian army will join the Russian army in the war against Ukraine

The self-proclaimed leader of Belarus, Oleksandr Lukashenko, said that the Belarusian army would join the Russian army in the war only in the event of a direct attack on Belarus.

This was reported by the state agency of Belarus "Belta".

"I am ready to fight together with the Russians from the territory of Belarus in only one case so far: if at least one soldier from there comes to the territory of Belarus to kill my people. If they commit aggression against Belarus, the response will be the most brutal. And the war will take on a completely different character," - the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Lukashenko emphasized that this applies not only to Ukraine, but also to other neighbors.

He expressed confidence that Ukraine was only a pretext for the outbreak of the war, which the West was pushing towards. "You blame Russia. Oh, you want to dismember Ukraine with the hands of the Poles," he said.

Returning to the question of whether aggression on the part of Belarus is possible, Lukashenko once again repeated: "We are peaceful people. We know what war is. We do not want war. And we are not going to introduce our troops into the territory of Ukraine under any circumstances. If only you from there you will not carry out aggression on the territory of Belarus. Here is my answer. It was given a long time ago."

Lukashenko also reminded that Russia is an ally of Belarus, the countries share a common military group. But even so, Russia never asked Belarus to start a war against Ukraine, he assured.

Lukashenko also announced his intelligence that the West wants to involve Belarus in the war and literally dreams of it, which would allow, taking into account the length of the borders of Belarus, to additionally extend the front by 2.5 thousand kilometers, which would complicate the situation for the troops of Belarus and Russia.

"The correct calculation. But empty, meaningless. We will not give you this chance. But if only you dare to set foot on our land, the answer will be terrible. Westerners know how and with what weapons," Lukashenko said.

It will be recalled that the leader of the Belarusian opposition in exile, Svitlana Tykhanovskaya, published an appeal at the beginning of February, in which she called on Belarusians to develop an action plan in case of even greater involvement of Belarus in the war by the Lukashenko regime.
