Eight countries will provide Ukraine with German-made Leopard tanks. In addition, the USA and the Czech Republic will provide additional tanks to the T-72 already received from Poland.

 This was stated by Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin during a meeting in the Rammstein format.

 He noted that the USA, Germany and the Netherlands will provide Ukraine with American Patriot air defense systems. In turn, France and Italy will transfer SAMP/T air defense systems.

 Austin also noted that a dozen countries have already joined the tank coalition. According to him, Germany, Poland, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands will hand over Leopard tanks, and the USA and the Czech Republic - other weapons.

 "The USA and the Czech Republic will provide tanks in addition to the T-72 already received from Poland," he said.

 Austin added that other countries have volunteered to help supply ammunition.

 The head of the Pentagon did not reveal the details and terms of the specified military assistance.
