The Russian dictator is launching new offensives, sending "thousands and thousands" of troops to put pressure on Ukrainians. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told about this during the briefing.
"Putin is not preparing for this, he is starting new offensive actions... We see what President Putin is doing now, sending thousands and thousands of troops, accepting very high casualties in order to put pressure on the Ukrainians. A quality that Russia lacks, it is trying to compensate with numbers," the General Secretary summed up, answering a journalist's question about the spring offensive of the occupiers.
According to Stoltenberg, the leadership, logistics, equipment and training of the Russian military are at a lower level. However, he added, the occupiers have more manpower.
"Russia is ready to send these forces and suffer a large number of casualties. So for me this only emphasizes the importance of time. We urgently need to provide more weapons to Ukraine. The sooner we send weapons to the Ukrainian front, the more lives we save and the better we support efforts to find a peaceful resolution . of this conflict," the general secretary emphasized.
In addition, he once again noted that NATO countries do not see any signs that the Russian dictator is ready to sit down at the negotiating table under the conditions of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Therefore, he concluded, providing military aid to Ukraine is the only way to end the war.
Stoltenberg also announced that tomorrow, February 14, during the next "Ramstein" and the meeting of the defense ministers of the Alliance, which will be attended by the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, the urgent needs of Ukraine on the battlefield will be discussed.
