Part of the defenders of Zmiiny Island and a significant part of the defenders of Mariupol and "Azovstal" are in Russian captivity. Work on their return home continues. This was reported by the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, the GUR reports.
"Indeed, some of the defenders of Zmiyny, most of the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal are in racist captivity. Work is ongoing to ensure that everyone returns home. Those boys who have already returned are now undergoing the process of rehabilitation, post-isolation support and return or conditionally to normal for how long we can all live a normal life now, or we can also fight and continue to fulfill our duties. Therefore, this is a really sensitive topic," Yusov said.
President of Ukraine Zelenskyі reported that since February 24, 1,762 Ukrainians have already been returned from Russian captivity.
