Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will visit Russia as part of a diplomatic tour of Europe, an official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Monday.

Wang's nine-day trip, which begins on Tuesday, also includes stops in France, Italy, Hungary and Germany, where he will address the Munich Security Conference, official spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a regular press briefing.

The foreign minister's visit to Russia will be devoted to "an in-depth exchange of views on the development of Sino-Russian relations at the next stage, as well as on current international and regional issues of mutual interest," the representative added.

China has strengthened its "borderless" partnership with Russia over the past year, including $190 billion in trade by 2022, according to Chinese data, despite Beijing saying it wants to play a "constructive role" in peaceful decided war.
