The world's first cyber war is taking place between Ukraine and Russia, - Fedorov

A year ago, Russia tried to invade not only physically, but also in parallel on the cyber front. Ukraine managed to detect Russian hackers in information systems.

The Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, said this in an interview.

"The world's first cyber war is taking place. Every day there are attacks, dozens of attacks that are only being detected. Now the cyber center is detecting attacks on certain information systems - this is 100%," the minister said.

According to Fedorov, Ukraine managed to establish a certain defense system that allows to quickly react to these attacks and prevent the enemy from getting into information systems.

"This is a big systemic work and, believe me, for example, I had a big meeting yesterday, where many of our experts were present, and we are now taking the next important step in the direction of building the cyber defense infrastructure. There will be certain investments and several cyber centers will be built. This is a constant development process Fedorov said.

According to the minister, there was no sensitive information leak in Ukraine during this time. "I can say for sure that we are protected in this direction and are successfully counterattacking. I think that now on the cyber front in the war with Russia, the advantage is on our side. But it is very important - this does not mean that there cannot be problems tomorrow," he said.

Earlier, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov stated that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has carried out more than 2,000 cyberattacks against Ukraine.
