More than 20,000 people have died in Turkey as a result of a series of powerful earthquakes. In Syria, the number of victims exceeds 3 thousand.

 According to the publication, as of the morning of February 11, more than 3,500 victims are known in Syria. At the same time, thousands of Syrian citizens were left homeless, some victims are still under the rubble.

 

 The Syrian government allowed the UN to deliver humanitarian aid across the front line to the affected regions.

 

 In Turkey, 20,318 citizens died as a result of the earthquakes. This is evidenced by the data of the Directorate for Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergency Situations (AFAD).

 

 As of this morning, 80,088 people have been rescued in Turkey. 91,511 citizens affected by natural disasters were evacuated from the affected regions.

 

 Currently, a total of 160,860 people - rescuers, doctors, volunteers and other personnel - work in Turkey, and 12,026 pieces of equipment are involved.

 

 It will be recalled that the USA decided to send an aircraft carrier to Turkey to eliminate the consequences of the earthquake.
