On Friday, February 10, Moldova sent nine trucks with humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, NewsMaker reports.
The aid in the amount of 16.8 million lei ($852,000) was allocated from the aid that Moldova previously received for managing the refugee crisis.
Medicines, tents, generators and food were sent to Ukraine. It is noted that items of first need will be delivered to Khmelnytskyi region.
As noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova, this is already the fifth batch of humanitarian aid.
As reported, against the backdrop of threats being made against the political leadership of Moldova from the Kremlin in connection with the country's European course and its active support for Ukraine, the European Commission announced its intention to provide an additional 145 million euros of macro-financial assistance to Moldova.
