The demands of the Russian Federation to recognize the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine as belonging to Moscow are unacceptable.
This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a joint briefing with British Foreign Minister James Cleverley.
The US Secretary of State also emphasized that such demands from the Russian Federation do not allow a peaceful negotiation process between the countries.
"Russian demands for Ukraine to recognize the new territorial realities as unacceptable and do not allow to establish a negotiation process," said Blinken.
Earlier, the head of the British Foreign Ministry said that Vladimir Putin should understand that the best option for Russia and its army in the war against Ukraine is to sit down at the negotiating table.
It should be noted that in December 2022, Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of not wanting peace talks to end the war.
After that, the Kremlin spoke about the peace plan of Ukraine presented at the UN summit.
